Training for Multicultural Counseling and Diversity Issues: Throughout history Blacks have been defined through the clinical lenses as “less than” when being offered treatment from White clinicians. What is often missing from the research is the traumatic impact clinicians have had on Blacks that may impede their ability to gain from treatment.
