The Life Cycle of the Treatment Record

AAMFT continues its live webinar training series with the next installment, “The Life Cycle of the Treatment Record”. This webinar will focus on the life cycle of a modern treatment record, from initial creation to retention and eventual disposal. Benjamin E. Caldwell, PsyD is an Associate Professor with the COAMFTE-accredited Couple and Family Therapy Graduate Programs at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Caldwell also serves as the Legislative and Advocacy Committee Chair for the California Division of AAMFT, and in that role was instrumental in the development and passage of Senate Bill 1172, the first-in-the-nation ban on so-called reparative therapies for minors. For this and other service to the Division, Dr. Caldwell was given AAMFT's Division Contribution Award at the 2013 Annual Conference.

Dr. Caldwell is a California-licensed MFT and is a Clinical Fellow in AAMFT. He lives in Los Angeles and maintains a small private practice, specializing in working with couples. Dr. Caldwell's first book, Basics of California Law for LMFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs, was published in 2013 and has been adopted at programs around the state.
