The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy is now accepting abstract submissions for the 2015 Annual Conference, September 3 - 6, in Austin, Texas.

Named by Trip Adviser this year as one of the top U.S. travel destinations and known for progressiveness it seems only natural that AAMFT should host a conference emphasizing progressive theories and techniques in relational and family therapy. We are encouraging abstract submissions address such issues as transnational family therapy, integrated family therapy, forensics, school based family therapy and other advanced applications of systemic thought. Our goal is to have a blend of developing and emerging areas with well researched topics with innovation clinical interventions. Workshop formats emphasizing collaboration, crowdsourcing, gamification and producing a lively educational experince are preferred.

We are also seeking research poster and presentation abstracts that feature state of the art research involving public policy, epidemiology, or mixed methods research. Abstracts that have a quantitative research component, public policy, or epidemiological implications will receive preferential consideration.

The deadline for abstract submissions is November 1, 2014. Extensions will not be given. The abstract form and frequently asked questions can be found by going to www.aamft.org and clicking on the Abstract Submission link.

If you have questions concerning submitting an abstract or becoming a reviewer please contact Andrew Alix at 703-253-0499 or aalix@aamft.org. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in Austin!
